The 2014 judges were Andrew Clifford, Andrew McLeod, Peter Panyoczki,Terry Stringer and Linda Tyler. The 2014 Fulbright-Wallace Arts Trust Award judges were Richard Maloy, Manulani Aluli-Meyer,Terry Stringer and Linda Tyler. THE 2014 WINNERS ARE Roger Mortimer The Wallace Arts Trust Paramount Award Winner Roger Mortimer is the winner of the Paramount Award with his work Otago Harbour. The prize consists of a six-month residency with the International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP) in New York; plus a bronze trophy by Terry Stringer. Ruth Watson Fulbright-Wallace Arts Trust Award Winner Ruth Watson is the winner of the Fulbright-Wallace Arts Trust Award with her work Telluric Insurgencies I. The prize consists of a three-month residency at the Headlands Center for the Arts in Sausalito, California USA. Glen Hayward The Kaipara Wallace Trust Award Winner Glen Hayward is the winner of the Kaipara Foundation Wallace Trust Award with his work 50 cent vs count of fate.The prize consists of a three-month residency at the Altes Spital in Solothurn, Switzerland. David McCracken The Wallace Arts Trust Vermont Award Winner David McCracken is the winner of The Wallace Arts Trust Vermont Award with his work involute and transmission. The prize consists of a three-month residency at the Vermont Studio Center in the United States. Raewyn Turner and Brian Harris First Runner-up Award Winner RaewynTurner and Brian Harris is awarded $2,500. Noel Ivanoff Second Runner-up Award Winner Noel Ivanoff is awarded $2,500. Stephen Ellis Jury Award Winner This prize is non-monetary. The People’s Choice Award Will be awarded $750. This award will be presented after the Award Winners & Traveling Finalists Exhibition concludes at Pataka Art + Museum and Wallace Gallery Morrinsville. |
